Research Summary |
Master’s research
included development of a query by content database system for still images
using Visual C++ on a Windows NT environment. The system was built using MFC and ActiveX controls
incorporating an easy to use, GUI.
Unlike traditional Content Based retrieval systems, this software
allows the user to choose rotationally and positionally invariant properties
of an image in order to more generalize a given search. Mr. Sarid’s research focused on ways to
improve match rates and match accuracy in order to make it easier for a user
to track down the proper item in the database. |
